Hi, Welcome home!
Just kidding!! Welcome to the place I have created in hopes you will feel like you can relate, a place you feel less … alone. I hope when you come here you leave feeling motivated, inspired, encouraged, and most importantly like the things you struggle with do not make you less than the people you choose to compare yourself to.
This blog has been a very long time coming. Many and I mean MANY times I have attempted to create a place I could share my thoughts, my ideas, vent about how long it took to get through the line at the DVM, or share a few of my family favorite recipes I have stumbled upon.
When I sit down and really think about how fast life goes by, I wanted to create a space where I can document the Good, the great and the *grumble grumble*…. not so great things life has graciously thrown our way. Life is hard, messy, and more often than not I feel overwhelmed just from my daily tasks of motherhood, sustaining a healthy and exciting life with my husband, and maintaining a profession in the medical field.
Let’s back track some. My name is Amanda. A 30 year old mother of three, a wife of nearly 8 years, and a Surgical Tech here at a locally owned hospital in the Midwest. I aspire to be a RN, a writer and a advocate/ mentor for families with children who have CHD (Congenital Heart Disease).
